Here’s what a TV news anchor wrote after their Private Screening of work-in-progress scenes from the feature film.
“I feel like a different person. I can’t really seem to express what it is I feel except that I know there’s a change. It took me a few days to put it into words – the emotion is so overwhelming. It’s like I haven’t really seen everything around me until today, and I’m saddened by the loss of all the years I’ve wasted, and yet relieved I realized what I’ve been missing all these years just in the nick of time. You know this is monumental.”

My paintings have always been
acquired directly in Private Viewings,
rather than through galleries.
Every painting of mine has sold.
Pricing patterns were established
as a buyer's market from the start,
four decades ago, by a Toronto
Stock Exchange Governor and a Bay
Street investor, both art collectors.
“Violent” was the first word that came
to mind for a film studio department head upon seeing indigo river ice paintings from
The Beggars Banquet Project collection.
Collections on four continents own
my work. As a result, paintings are
rarely available for shows:
The book Fiery Vision Bright was produced along side a 1995 retrospective show at the University of B.C. in Vancouver.
FILM:
The feature film I’m making is now in post-
production. The water, the ice and the mist
are players on this wide stage. The film and
paintings are two parts of The Beggars
Banquet Project. One art – two mediums.
One viewer said “There is a reverence in
Terry’s film that is extremely raw.”
Another viewer said, “After the film I felt
such a stillness and calm that I didn’t want
to speak or move”.
